Budget Preparation

Financial budgets are an important tool for managing a farm business. They should be prepared as much to help management on farm as to keep the financier informed. Its preparation involves:

  • Discuss the annual work plan in order to develop realistic farm budgets.
  • Cashflow and sensitivity analysis on budgets
  • Multiyear budget projections
  • Presentation of annual budget and cashflow, as well as budget comments (and updates) to a financier.
